About Dance Collective The Eisteddfod

Hey, I’m Paige, the founder of Dance Collective The Eisteddfod 👋

Dance Collective The Eisteddfod was established from reflecting on the experiences that shaped my own dance journey, opportunities that truly made a difference and a desire to create similar meaningful experiences for the next generation of dancers.

As a young dancer, improvement in my dancing truly sparked from competing at local eisteddfods.The first hand experience of performing and being on stage whilst being surrounded by talented dancers from various studios was so inspiring. 

Ballet was my passion and as a registered classical ballet teacher with the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD), I can confidently say it still is! I have the privilege of working with aspiring dancers everyday and I love sharing my knowledge and experiences to guide them on their own individual paths, whether that leads further into the dance industry or simply just grows their love for dance. 

Dance Collective’s major sponsor is Bloch. Bloch is a global leader in high quality dance shoes, apparel and accessories. Their products are trusted by elite ballet companies and dancers around the world. In 2021, I had the opportunity to work with Bloch as an international and national model for their social media, website and in-store advertising. I have been lucky enough to work with Bloch every year since. Dance goes beyond the studio, experiences like this shape confidence, creativity and lifelong skills. I am so grateful and proud to be partnering with Bloch to giveaway meaningful awards and experiences at Dance Collective.

Dance has given me so much more than technique, it’s shaped who I am, taught me discipline, and connected me with incredible people. With Dance Collective The Eisteddfod, my goal is to give dancers experiences that inspire, challenge, and celebrate them, just as I was inspired along my journey. I love being able to share my knowledge, support young dancers, and create opportunities that help them grow, both on and off the stage.

Dance Collective staff and adjudicators will be on the lookout for 4 award recipients per session for our major sponsor awards.

The OffStage Spirit Award - $50.00 Bloch Voucher 

The OffStage Spirit Award is presented to an individual who is observed encouraging and uplifting fellow dancers, celebrating the achievements of others, and offering a helping hand whenever it is needed. This award recognises someone who goes out of their way to welcome new faces, build friendships, and consistently demonstrates a positive and inclusive spirit behind the scenes! 

The Standout Soloist Award - $100.00 Bloch Voucher 

The Standout Soloist Award is presented to a soloist who demonstrates exceptional performance quality, stage presence, technique and overall impact. This award recognises a dancer who shows outstanding potential and a very promising future in the dance industry.
